Field Tests Results: Rentar Fuel Catalyst

Rentar asks each of its customers to perform field tests. Rentar makes the request for two reasons. Principally, field tests are required in order for a customer to determine whether the Rentar Guarantee — Rentar’s assurance of a return on investment of 100 percent will occur within 12-18 months — is met.

The second reason Rentar asks customers to perform field tests is to ensure that lab test results, results provided to Rentar by independent agencies, coincide with the data output of working conditions.

In almost every case, the Rentar field tests exceed the lab tests, often considerably.

The following are results provided by Rentar clients from around the world.

Over-the-Road Trucks (Semis, Tractor Trailers, Dump trucks, etc.)

1) US MARINE CORP – CONVOY ON VARIOUS VEHICLE ENGINES

“Very good reductions in opacity and emission odors, as well as showing a significant increase in vehicle performance and MPG,” was the conclusion drawn by the United States Marine Corps following high-stress tests of the Rentar Fuel Catalyst on convoy vehicles.

2) CR ENGLAND, S.L.C., UT – CLASS 8 TRUCKS

CR England experienced annual savings of $2,569 per truck on fuel costs in Salt Lake City, Utah when the Rentar Fuel Catalyst was tested on a fleet of 10 Freightliner trucks powered by Detroit Series 60 engines.

3) ARRIVA, PORTUGAL – MERCEDES BUSES

Arriva reported the Rentar Fuel Catalyst generated a 50 percent reduction in soot and visible particulates in its fleet of 10 Mercedes commuter buses as well as its train.

4) TRANSMILENIA BUS COMPANY, BOGOTA, COLUMBIA – MERCEDES BUSES

Within 11 months, every bus of a fleet of 16 saw a return on investment following installation of a Rentar Fuel Catalyst.

5) NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION – FIELD TRUCKS

CO was reduced by 30 percent and NOX dropped by 28 percent on five diesel fuel engine powered vehicles used by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

6) CITY OF JONESBORO, ARK – TRUCKS POWERED WITH CATERPILLAR, MACK AND NISSAN ENGINES

The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, saw a fuel efficiency improvement of at least 8.75 percent on 66 percent of its city trucks. Of the remaining trucks, none improved by less than 6.74 percent. In a single year, the Rentar Fuel Catalyst spared the taxpayers of Jonesboro, Arkansas $43,500 in fuel expenses on 10 trucks.

Off-Road Wheeled Equipment (Backhoes, Front-End Loaders, Skidsteers, Tractors, etc.)

1) THE ROGERS GROUP, EASTERN, U.S.A. – EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT

The Rogers Group tested the Rentar Fuel Catalyst on 18 pieces of off-road equipment including haul trucks, wheel loaders, and generators. The Rogers Group saw an average of 7.3% fuel consumption/cost reduction on all of their equipment.

2) LaFARGE, INTERNATIONAL – DUMP TRUCK, WHEEL LOADER

For LaFarge, one of the leading construction and excavation companies in the world, the Rentar Fuel Catalyst provided gallons of diesel per hour reductions of 14 percent and 16 percent, respectively, on a Caterpillar off-highway truck and a Caterpillar wheel loader during testing.

Marine Equipment (Military Ships)

1) U.S. NAVY – CUMMINS KTA-3067-M ENGINE AND CONVOY ON VARIOUS NAVY VEHICLE ENGINES

The Rentar Fuel Catalyst reduced the amount of fuel burned by the USS Independence by 151 gallons on the voyage between Pearl Harbor and California. The Navy also tested the Rentar on cargo trucks and other vehicles, the savings in fuel costs — fuel combustion efficiency — reached 40 percent in some cases.

2) CHESAPEAKE BAY FOUNDATION, ANNAPOLIS, MD – CATERPILLAR 3116TA MARINE ENGINE

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation tested the Rentar Fuel Catalyst on the Karen N, a 1996 Patriot Marine 40×14-foot boat. Fuel consumption efficiency increased by an average of 19 percent.

3) WHIPSAW SPORTS FISHING, HONOLULU, HAWAII – CATERPILLAR DIESEL ENGINE

Whipsaw Sports Fishing tested the Rentar Fuel Catalyst on a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge Sportfish Boat. Fuel efficiency was improved by 16.64 percent improvement in fuel consumption. And, Whipsaw uses Rentar’s “green” certifications to advertise its environmental awareness.

The Rentar Fuel Catalyst, when tested in the industries of over-the-road hauling, construction and excavation, and marine operations produced exception results with respect to both fuel efficiency — fuel cost cutting — and emissions reduction.
