MAGAZINE 19.1% FUEL SAVINGS
Boating Magazine, in a full
page article, reported on tests conducted by the, not for profit, Chesapeake
Bay Foundation. The Tests were conducted on a 40’ boat powered by a
Caterpillar 3226TA engine. The article reported a 10.3 reduction in Opacity
(Black Smoke). “The fuel savings was even more significant: between 3.8%
and 30.9% depending on the RPM, for an average of 19.1% fuel savings.

CATERPILLAR DEALER REPORT POLLUTION REDUCTIONS

COMERCIAL
FISHING BOAT $2,148 SAVINGS IN 3 WEEKS
Two
identical 104 foot deep water shrimp boats with identical KT-425 Cummins
engines, always insight of each other and always burned the same amount of
fuel. A Rentar Fuel Catalyst was installed on one of the boats. They
topped off the tanks and went out for three weeks. Upon return to port,
they both topped off and the boat with the Rentar Fuel Catalyst consumed
1200 gallons less fuel. At $1.79 per gallon, the boat saved $2,148 in 3
weeks.
They also
report less soot on their nets and less smell in the boat. |
